In the Summer of 2020 the Lagoon Development Company opened the southeast end of the Lago Mar lagoon to the general public over 43 business days.  50,000 patrons came to enjoy the lagoon’s white beaches, turquoise blue water, food trucks, live music and waterports such as paddleboarding, kayaking, sailing and a floating obstacle course. 

Lagoonfest Texas running for the 3rd summer serves as a beta test for the future permanent public access beachclub to be located on the shores of the lagoon.
